The mystery of the missing bench at old Mosaic Stadium has been solved, according to the City of Regina.
A photo of a missing bench was making its rounds on social media and the city said it wasn’t removed illegally.
“We are aware of some media reports of missing benches but have no indication that anything was removed illegally from the stadium. The bench in Section 25 was damaged at the end of the game and that piece was removed by maintenance personnel for safety precautions,” the City of Regina said in a written release.
The section 23 sign was also missing but the City of Regina wouldn’t comment on if it was also removed by maintenance personnel.
