RCMP have a man in custody after the suspicious sudden death of a 56-year-old man in Kerrobert, Sask., early Wednesday morning.
Police found a man dead after being called to a home in the community around 5 a.m.
Officers believe his death is suspicious.
Police have not revealed the victim’s identity or his connection to the suspect.
RCMP had secured a crime scene northwest of Luseland, in the RM of Heart’s Hill, in relation to the death. That’s where officers established a line of communication with the suspect.
“At no time did we feel that the individual and the public was in any danger at any time,” said RCMP Sgt. Earl Leblanc.
The Luseland man was arrested without incident around 2 p.m. Wednesday. His name has not been yet released and there has been no word on whether charges have been laid.
According to police, there is no threat to public safety; however, there will be more officers in the area.
Kerrobert is located 52 kilometres north of Kindersley.
