A man who was the subject of a dramatic arrest in North Battleford back in April has been sentenced.
The incident was captured randomly on dash-cam by a driver who just happened to be perfectly positioned as the incident unfolded.
It shows police in a white minivan making a wide left turn at the intersection and then coming to an abrupt stop after slamming into a curb.
Plainclothes officers then jump out, pull a man off a bicycle and make the arrest.
The video was posted to Youtube and has since been viewed more than 136,000 times.
Randall Christopher Nicotine, 30, was sentenced on Oct. 20 to four years in custody, less time served in remand.
Nicotine was convicted of four counts of assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, resisting arrest and two counts of breaching probation.
He admitted that several of the offences he was guilty of were for the benefit of a criminal organization.
That was an aggravating factor considered during sentencing.
