With a suspect caught by a homeowner, police are asking people in Moose Jaw to check their sheds.
Around 4:30 on Saturday afternoon, police said a homeowner on the 100 block of Home Street W., near Lillooet Street, found a person in their garage.
The person was “detained” by the homeowner and later arrested. Later on Sunday, police said a woman who was caught trying to leave the scene was arrested. He’s being charged on seven counts: break and enter committing theft, four counts of break and enter with intent to commit theft, possession of stolen property, and obstruction of a police officer.
While on the scene, officers found at least four other garages or sheds which had been broken into in the area, so they’re asking people in the area to check their sheds, garages, and yards to see if anything is missing.
Police believe the suspects were looking for smaller items they could sell.
