Regina police are investigating two similar armed robberies, but have not said if they are connected.
Police were first dispatched to a business on the 200 block of Albert Street North around 11:28 p.m. Monday night, where two men reportedly entered with what was believed to be a gun. The pair demanded money before leaving with an undisclosed amount. No one was injured.
The suspects were both wearing black ski masks. One man is described as First Nations, around 215 pounds and wearing a black and red plaid shirt.
The second man was also described as First Nations, five feet ten inches tall, around 180-200 pounds, wearing a dark green sweater and shiny silver shoes and carrying a black reusable shopping bag.
Then, at around 12:32 a.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to a robbery at a business on the 2900 block of Dewdney Avenue. Police said two men with covered faces entered with what was believed to be guns and demanded money. The men left with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. No one was injured.
Police described the first suspect as around 18-20 years of age, around five feet ten inches tall, 150 pounds and wearing all black clothing, including a hooded sweatshirt over his head and a black bandana over part of his face. Police also said he was carrying a black backpack with red straps. The second suspect has been described as 18-20 years of age, five feet ten inches tal, with a black hooded sweatshirt, a hat, and blue jeans.
Police have not said if the two incidents are connected. Investigations are ongoing.
