The price of food has been going down, but have customer’s noticed the difference?
Last month, food prices had their first year-over-year decline in nearly 17 years and the price of food was down 2 per cent.
980 CJME went out and asked shoppers if they noticed a change in the price of their food.
“I try to ignore the price of food and basically, we try to eat healthy but having said that, I also try to buy everything at a discount,” said Glenys Eberle.
“They’re not low, but they are lower,” Kristine Douaud said.
“Not a lot. Certain things, yeah, but not everything,” said Sherri Toronchuk
“Gone down? Absolutely not, its gone sky high,” Sylvia Derkatch said.
“No I haven’t but I don’t monitor it that closely anyways,” said Dennis King
