A Saskatoon woman suffered minor injuries after being slashed with a machete early Tuesday morning.
Police said a 27-year-old woman was walking in the 300 block of 3rd Avenue around 1 a.m.when she was approached by another woman on a bicycle.
The cyclist showed the woman a large knife and attempted to cut the strap on her purse.
Police said the victim was slashed during a struggle, but made her way to hospital where she was treated and released.
The suspect is described as an indigenous woman, in her mid 20s, riding a light-colored BMX style bike.
She was last seen riding the bike northbound on 3rd Avenue.
