Pre-season NHL hockey returns to Saskatoon in 2017 in a game that will see the Edmonton Oilers take on the Carolina Hurricanes.
Jon Graham with On-Ice Management is confident both teams will dress some of their best players.
He said they’ve been intentionally working with organizations that are going to give fans the line-ups they want to see.
“We really fight to make sure, when we bring the games, that we do have them positioned so that they get the right rosters, out of respect for the fans,” said Graham. “I’m very confident that we’re going to get very good rosters.”
Oilers president of hockey operations and general manager Peter Chiarelli is looking forward having his team back in Saskatoon.
“Any time you get a chance to bring NHL hockey to another market it’s a thrill and something we’ve enjoyed doing in our previous visits to Saskatoon,” said Chiarelli. We know we have a lot of Oiler fans in Saskatchewan.”
The game goes Sept. 27 at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. Tickets go on sale Monday, Dec. 6 at 10am.
