A potential firearm threat forced an elementary school in north Regina to be placed into “secure the building” mode Tuesday morning.
Around 11:20 a.m., police were dispatched to a home on the 100 block of Rink Avenue after someone thought they saw a man with a gun.
Police contacted officials at Henry Janzen School, who had already issued the “secure the building” mode as a precaution after witnessing officers nearby.
Police secured the area and took two people into custody. The school lifted the “secure the building” mode shortly after.
No firearms were recovered. No one was injured during the incident.
Charges may be pending for at least one of the men apprehended.
