Huskies men's hockey and women's volleyball teams both forced game 3 Sunday.
The Saskatoon Blades had their share of the lead but went down 4-3 in overtime to Red Deer Wednesday night.
Down 1-0 in the first, captain Wyatt Sloboshan opened the scoring for the visiting Blades, starting what would become three straight goals.
Jackson Caller had the lone goal in the second period before Gage Ramsay made it 3-1 for Saskatoon early in the third period.
Red Deer would come back to pot a pair in the final frame to force overtime. Adam Musil netted the winner just over a minute into the extra frame.
Brock Hamm took the loss for the Blades in goal, making 31 saves on 35 shots. Hamm has not won a game since Oct. 1.
The Blades are back on the ice Friday night in Edmonton against the Oil Kings.
