But while RCMP in and around Swift Current, Sask., patrolled the streets for drunk drivers, none were found.
South West Regional Traffic Services RCMP conducted roving patrols and two check stops in the area for a total of 27-man hours on Saturday, Dec. 3, focusing on drunk driving.
While 233 people were stopped, no drunk drivers were located. Six Traffic Safety Act charges were issued for various driving infractions.
South West Regional Traffic Services RCMP reminds everyone to designate a sober driver, call a taxi or a friend or family member for a safe ride home.
