Police investigating possible gunshot at Saskatoon motel

Saskatoon police are investigating after reports of a gunshot at the Northwoods Inn and Suites Thursday night.

Officers were on scene at the motel on Idylwyld Drive North around 7:15 p.m.

Police have reason to believe a firearm may have been discharged at that location. No further information has been provided.

The 600 block of Idylwyld Drive was closed for hours. Police sent a media notice shortly before 5 a.m. to say the area was cleared and reopened to traffic.
