Hundreds show up for the Santa's Anonymous wrap day

On tables, on chairs, and even on the floor – people filled the Regina & District Food Bank on Saturday morning for the 47th annual Santa’s Anonymous wrap day.

Hundreds of people showed up to the food bank to help wrap the gifts collected earlier in the week. The event started at 9 a.m. but many volunteers were at the food bank an hour beforehand. 

The event is a partnership between 980 CJME and the Salvation Army in Regina. Earlier in the week, the Salvation Army said more than 1,500 children has signed up to receive gifts from Santa’s Anonymous, but the list was expected to rise to more than 1,900 before the end of the week.

All the families had been chosen 

After the thousands of toys are wrapped, they’re loaded onto and truck and the Salvation Army distributes them to be opened on Christmas morning.
