A judge has sentenced a man in connection with the death of a Regina teenager.
Lawrence Alvin ‘Junior’ Strongquill, 22, was given eight years in jail, but with 676 days time served it works out to six years 51 days. Strongquill begins serving that sentence Monday.
In September 2015, the body of Darian Denzel Moise, 16, was located at a home on the 1200 block of Robinson Street, between 6th and 7th avenues in North Central.
Strongquill was arrested and charged with second-degree murder less than a week later.
Strongquill pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter this past September.
