It’s a bigger Saskatchewan than it was last year.
The provincial government reports that as of Oct. 1, 2016, the province’s population stood at 1,155, 393.
That is 4,761 more people than the previous quarter – and 18,007 more people since last year.
“Our province continues to attract people to the many opportunities available here,” said Economy Minister Jeremy Harrison in a news release Thursday.
“Our resilient economy and its investment opportunities speak to the continued strength of our province.”
Over the last ten years, Saskatchewan has grown by 162,000 people – its highest growth in any 10-year period over the last 84 years, according to the province.
