Saskatoon police are on the hunt for a suspect involved in a road rage incident Thursday morning.
Police were called to a minor collision on Highway 7 west of the city just before 2 a.m. The routine call escalated into a frightening situation.
While officers were heading to the scene, they were told one of the drivers left the scene without sharing his information.
The second driver followed and the two vehicles eventually stopped near the Lowe’s hardware store at 22nd Street and Betts Avenue.
Police said the drivers got into an argument, with one allegedly grabbing a .22 caliber rifle from his vehicle and pointing it at the second driver.
No shots were fired, and there were no injuries.
The armed man remains at large after leaving the scene on foot, police reported he was seen heading south.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, wearing a black toque and a black jacket.
Police have impounded the vehicle the suspect was driving.
