More adult players are now investing in the protective equipment.
Just in time for Christmas, Regina residents can now lace up the skates, grab the helmet, puck, and stick, and hit the outdoor rinks.
The City of Regina is letting the public know, as of Monday, a bunch are ready to be skated on. Ice needs to be added at other rinks, so maintenance will be taking place at those.
The City said the 1,000 metre speed oval track in Mount Pleasant Park is open.
The City of Regina maintains 59 outdoor rinks, 23 of which have boards, 36 do not have boards. Most outdoor rinks are lit with push-button activated lights.
The City of Regina’s website is where residents can find the full list of rinks, which ones are open and which ones are in need of ice.
