December sure gets expensive!
I’ve been getting daily emails from the Roughriders. I didn’t think we were that close; they evidently wanted me to meet the Early Bird deadline for renewing my three season tickets.
So I’m buying my kids’ season tickets for the final time, just so we can move into the new stadium together. Those are their Christmas presents, but I’m throwing in some bonus prizes.
Both my sons have December birthdays. I guess that’s my fault, but it’s now costing me lots in birthday lunches and beverages.
My golf club promised me a discount for renewing my membership this month. I wrote that cheque.
I don’t buy many Christmas presents, but my girlfriend deserves something nice. I stockpiled the liquor cabinet and the refrigerator. My basement just got fixed following a water leak, so of course I paid for a couple of upgrades.
I need new racquetball shoes. A friend wants me to go skiing in Whitefish. For the next week or so, I think I’m going to just going to watch sports on TV or listen to the radio. Maybe it’s not a healthy thing, but it’s affordable.
Merry Christmas!
