A pair of armed robberies Monday afternoon in Saskatoon led to the arrest of two men.
The first happened just after 4 p.m. on Broadway Avenue near 10th Street. Two men went into a business with a knife, punched the clerk and drove off with cash.
A witness gave a description of the men involved and the car they left in.
It came in handy about 20 minutes later when police were called to the plaza with Jerry’s Food Emporium on 8th Street East for a similar robbery.
By 4:30 p.m. police spotted a vehicle matching the witness description and the suspects close by on 8th Street.
The men were arrested and the lottery tickets, money, and weapon were recovered.
