With Christmas Eve nearing, the Salvation Army made a plea to people in Regina last week.
It was $60,000 short of its fundraising goal for the 2016 kettle campaign just days before it ended.
The Salvation Army said people’s generosity helped them almost close that gap.
In total, it they raised $206,237.23.
Their goal for the year was $215,000.
