If you’re planning on sipping on some bubbly for New Year’s Eve, Operation Red Nose has you covered.
The Kinsmen club volunteers will be taking calls throughout the night to drive you home in the comfort of your own car.
Spokesman Les Francis said the ride is free however, donations are accepted.
“Again, it’s a free ride but we certainly take donations,” said Francis. “Those donations go back to youth sports, so we give back to all of Regina minor league sports, hockey, and so forth and so on.”
He adds that wait times are usually bearable as they’ve had a spike in volunteers this year. On average he said you’ll wait about 10-15 minutes and roughly 30 minutes at peak times.
Operation Red Nose starts tonight at 9 p.m. and goes until Sunday at 3 a.m.
