A 24-year-old Tisdale man will ring in the New Year in a jail cell after a failed robbery in Saskatoon Friday night.
Police say a man with handgun entered a store on Boychuck Drive just before 9 p.m. and fled with cash and lottery tickets.
The suspect didn’t get very far before a police K-9 unit tracked him down on Blackthorn Crescent in Briarwood with the stolen items.
There were no injuries.
The 24-year-old will appear before a Justice of the Peace on Saturday.
