A Regina man is in custody after allegedly driving his car into a bank in an attempt to rob the vault.
On Monday, Jan. 2, at 12:40 a.m. Regina police were dispatched to the Scotiabank at 2907 13th Ave. after alarms were set off.
A man drove his vehicle into the front doors, smashing the windows, and then left his vehicle to go further into the bank with a gun, but was unsuccessful at gaining entrance into the bank vault. He then got back into his vehicle and fled before being stopped by police in the 2100 block of Albert Street.
Patrick Shannon is charged with break and enter, resisting arrest and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
