A 16-year-old driver died after a crash on Highway 3 Wednesday afternoon.
According to RCMP, two SUVs collided head-on near Whitfield Road, west of Prince Albert, around 3:45 p.m.
A third truck heading east ended up colliding with the original two vehicles.
The driver of the westbound SUV, a 16-year-old girl from Prince Albert, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin have been notified and her name will not be released at this time.
The two people inside the eastbound SUV were taken to hospital in Prince Albert and are reported in stable condition. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Alcohol was not a factor in this collision.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of an RCMP traffic reconstructionist and the coroner’s office.
