The Red Wings will host the Kindersley Klippers in Assiniboia on Friday.
All is right with the NFL universe again. In 2015, America’s second-largest city didn’t have a National Football League franchise. It now appears Los Angeles will have two teams when the 2017 regular season begins in the fall.
First the Rams and now the Chargers have relocated to L.A., a city of four million people.
This may come with some challenges initially, but will be good in the long run.
Los Angeles is a competitive market for the sports entertainment dollar. There are two NBA teams, two NHL teams and two Major League Baseball teams, along with college football programs that have a huge following. Since NFL teams left LA in the 1990’s, a “following” is something that would have to be built over time.
The bottom line is: Los Angeles is a major metropolitan city and should have representation in American’s most powerful sports league.
