Now that we see how much Darian Durant is making next season we can ask “is he worth it?”
$400,000 per year still will have him in the range of 6th or 7th when it comes to quarterback salaries in the league.
And the fact of the matter is the rumours are Durant was offering the Riders much less than what he will receive from the Montreal Alouettes.
So I ask again “was he worth it?”
Both Chris Jones and Kavis Reed — the general managers of both teams are hedging their bets. Jones — that he can find a new quarterback in time for June to get more wins than losses. Reed is gambling on Durant to stay healthy and allow the Alouettes to once again worry about everything other than their quarterback.
Reed thinks he was worth it.
Jones did not.
Durant will prove who is right and I’m betting on Durant.
