RCMP have found there was nothing to a threat made against La Loche Community School.
Police reported a complaint was made to them on Thursday about a threat of a potential shooting at the school.
In a release issued Friday, La Loche RCMP said they investigated and found the threat was not credible.
The threat came just a few days before the community marks one year since a 17-year-old boy killed four people and wounded seven more in shootings at a home and the high school on Jan. 22, 2016.
La Loche Community School opted to close both its high school and elementary campuses for the day. The nearby Clearwater River School also cancelled classes.
Mayor Robert St. Pierre said classes will resume as usual on Tuesday.
