A 38-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly trying to break into a house and then run away from police.
On Friday, Regina police went to a home on the 1800 block of Montreal Street for a report of a break and enter in progress.
The suspect left before officers arrived, but police were told a man had been kicking at the door of the house and demanding money.
The suspect was found a little while later. Police said the man allegedly swung his arms as officers tried to place him in handcuffs, and managed to run away.
He was caught again and arrested.
Evan Lyle Kakakaway, 38, is charged with attempted break and enter, as well as resisting arrest.
Kakakaway was released under conditions and will appear in Regina Provincial Court on March 2.
