Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the back Thursday evening.
Officers went to St. Paul’s hospital around 6:30 p.m.
The alleged victim had been driving with his girlfriend when he agreed to pick up another man on the 600 block of Avenue I South, according to a police media release.
Police said two men got into the vehicle, at which point there was a fight that left the 18-year-old driver suffering stab wounds.
The two suspects reportedly took off on foot.
The alleged victim’s girlfriend drove him to hospital where he was treated for wounds that were deemed non-life threatening.
