Wray Morrison: The past is the present

I get excited when a new generation of sports fans get to witness history.
 
There is nothing worse than an older generation of fans telling younger people how much better athletes were, and sports was, years ago. It lessens, and in some cases ruins, their love of sport.
 
Tom Brady goes for a record fifth Super Bowl championship on Sunday. He’s already played in more Super Bowl games than any other starting quarterback, and has a chance to stand alone in championships. 
 
It’s hard to believe that it was 15 years ago when Brady earned his first ring. He was 24 years old. The Patriots went on to win three of four championship games starting in 2002.

Now at 39, Brady is still playing at an incredible level and still leading this team on championship runs year in and year out.

This generation is witnessing a quarterback every bit as good as Bradshaw or Montana. So to you longtime fans, let the young people of 
2017 enjoy what may be history in the making.
