Regina police are investigating an early morning house fire after a woman was found dead inside the home.
Police confirmed one woman is dead after a fire broke out at 2990 7th Ave., near Robinson Street. Her body has not yet been identified.
The City of Regina said other people inside the home were able to escape. One person was taken to hospital for treatment.
Firefighters responded to the call around 3 a.m.
According to the city, the main floor of the building was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived. The woman found in the home was taken to be treated by EMS but was pronounced dead at the scene.
