Saskatoon police are looking for a driver who allegedly sped through and hit a rail crossing Tuesday morning.
Patrol officers saw a vehicle speeding in the area of 33rd Street and Avenue P shortly before 8 a.m.
Police said the officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop.
The vehicle allegedly approached 33rd Street and Circle Drive, at which point it sped through and struck rail crossing arms as they were coming down.
The suspect reportedly continued onto Circle Drive. Police called off the chase at Circle Drive and Avenue C due to concerns over public safety.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
