For the second time this week, the Regina Pats beat the Saskatoon Blades, this time a 5-2 win at SaskTel Centre.
Regina got on the board first with Nick Henry potting the lone goal of the opening period.
Early in the second, the Pats added two more with Austin Wagner and Dawson Davidson getting credit.
Saskatoon would find the score sheet in the second, Bryton Sayers (6) shot home a powerplay marker to get the Blades within two.
The excitement was short-lived, as Connor Hobbs made it 4-1 for the visitors less than a minute later.
In the third, Braylon Shmyr (26) scored the Blades’ second powerplay goal, but that was all they would manage.
Austin Wagner sealed it on an empty-netter with his second of the game.
The Blades go right back at it Saturday night at home to Red Deer.
