O'Day discusses Trevor Harris and changes to be made to get the Riders back to the Grey Cup.
For the time being, the Saskatoon Blades have pulled themselves back into a playoff spot with a 4-2 win over Red Deer.
The win erases a four-game losing streak for the Blades, who are now a point up on Calgary for the final wildcard spot.
Braylon Shmyr (27) showed his scoring touch with the first of three first-period goals. Jesse Shynkaruk (23,24) potted back to back before Red Deer could find and answer.
The score stayed the same in the second, with the Rebels pulling within one in the third. Midway through the frame, Gage Ramsay (7) put away the insurance marker.
Logan Flodell made 22 saves in the win as the Blades outshot Red Deer 27-24.
The Blades are back in action on Friday, Feb. 10 when they host Moose Jaw.
