Drivers in Saskatoon were forced to adjust their route along 33rd Street Tuesday afternoon while police raided a home near Henry Kelsey Public School.
Police blocked 33rd Street West between Valens Drive and Avenue P shortly after noon.
Officers, canines, crisis negotiators and tactical units surrounded the home to execute a high-risk search warrant.
Drivers were detoured along Faulkner Crescent, while students and staff at Henry Kelsey were placed on a perimeter lockdown as a precaution.
Traffic restrictions were lifted around 1:15 p.m. after police entered the home and took two people into custody.
There’s no word on any charges, but police said the operation was in relation to an ongoing weapons investigation.
