Traffic got hogtied in a small Manitoba town Monday.
Police in Altona got a call over the noon hour for a rogue pig.
Officers snapped a photo of the animal as it blocked east and west lanes along Centre Avenue – appearing completely indifferent to trucks and cars.
In a Facebook post, the police service explained officers attended the scene and were able to direct the pig out of town.
Shortly after, the pig’s owner joined officers in corralling the escaped porker onto a trailer.
The pig did not appear to have suffered any injuries.
Altona is located around 115 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.
