CFL Free Agency is here and it’s nice to see their biggest broadcast partner start to take this a little more seriously.
Before CFL Free Agency was a blip on the radar, despite the amount of news and interesting story lines that come out of it.
TSN isn’t going all in on a Free Agent Frenzy coverage like they give the NHL, nor would I expect them to. However, something is better than nothing and this year there will be a lot of coverage online and on their app, while the league will be streaming updates on their website.
Combine this with the CFL Week that is coming to Regina that will get national attention, the CFL is growing up when it comes to getting eyes on their product during the winter months when football season is still four or three months away.
Keeping fans engaged in the off-season has been a flaw in the Canadian Football League for some time, but the fans are asking for more and it’s nice the league and TSN are stepping up.
