It might be one of the worst-kept secrets in Regina, but it’s now official: the Cornwall Centre is getting an H&M.
In a news release sent out Friday, the fashion retailer confirmed it’s coming to the Queen City in 2018.
On Thursday, a floor layout depicting H&M in the mall made the rounds online. This followed an announcement earlier this month of a $5.8 million renovation for a new tenant.
“We are thrilled to announce our upcoming opening in Regina as part of our continued expansion in the Canadian market. We have been waiting for a great location in Saskatchewan and are very happy to have finally found one,” said Toni Galli, country manager of H&M Canada, in a news release.
H&M first came to Canada in 2004 and now has 83 stores nationwide. It will be the retailer’s first store in Saskatchewan.
H&M said the new location in Regina will create 40 retail jobs.
