Another Saskatoon restaurant is reeling after a fire destroyed the Bonanza Steakhouse on 8th Street earlier this week.
H&M Dumpling House is located in the same building as Bonanza. Its front entrance, now boarded up, faces onto Arlington Avenue.
In a Facebook post Wednesday, the business said it sustained extensive smoke, water and fire damage, and will be closed until further notice.
“Needless to say, our spirits have been lifted by the overwhelming support from the local community and beyond,” the post reads.
“We will be working together to rebuild and restore a better dumpling house.”
The owner of Bonanza Steakhouse told 650 CKOM he also hopes to rebuild.
Fire officials said the blaze broke out in Bonanza’s kitchen around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday. Damages are estimated at $2 million.
The cause of fire is still unknown.
