A fire at a Regina home led to the discovery of a deceased man.
Regina police were dispatched to a residence on the 1700 block of Connaught Street for a report of a fire at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Regina Fire and Protective Services (RFPS) along with EMS also attended the scene.
Police said RFPS extinguished the fire and EMS attended to a man who was burned. He was confirmed deceased.
The Office of the Chief Coroner will investigate the circumstances surrounding the death. RFPS will investigate the cause of the fire, and police are looking into any possible criminal aspect of the death.
The man’s name is not being released at this time as next-of-kin has not been notified.
