The Prince Albert Raiders doubled up the Blades 4-2 Saturday night, one of the few games left in the season where the Blades are playing a team below them in the standings.
Kolten Olynek scored the game winner for Prince Albert, meaning a player the Blades waived in December is playing a part in keeping Saskatoon from the playoffs.
Michael Farren and Braylon Shmyr had the goals for Saskatoon while Logan Flodell made 23 stops in goal.
To make matters worse, the Calgary Hitmen beat Red Deer 6-3 to take a two point lead on Saskatoon for the final playoff spot. Calgary also has a game in hand.
