Drivers who thought spring was here to stay weren’t happy to see winter return to Saskatoon.
Owner of A-1 Tire & Wheel Anthony Renneberg said they’ve had a few reluctant customers come in to have their winter tires put back on Monday.
“A couple people had misgivings about the weather,” he said, adding it’s always a gamble deciding when to change tires for the season.
“They weren’t sure whether this was the right decision or not, but nonetheless they couldn’t make their commute to work so they had to make a choice.”
Renneberg said his shop has also sold a few new sets of winter tires, which is uncommon to see in March.
“I would say so, but the weather in Saskatchewan is pretty unpredictable, so sometimes you have to change with the times,” he said.
While business has picked up at his shop, Renneberg suspects most drivers will stick with their current tires until spring.
