To think the Riders are done searching for quarterbacks because they signed Young is failed logic.
They’ll continue to search. Of course, they will. Chris Jones doesn’t stop searching, even during the season holding post-practice workouts with potential prospects.
What Vince Young brings is some pro experience. He seems to be motivated to resurrect a football career. Why else would a player with ventures down south come to Canada to make less money than he could make in his home state of Texas?
OK, Vince Young takes away some reps from other quarterbacks but understand the way Chris Jones runs practices, he actually doubles the reps taken that other teams do.
I can’t wait to see Vince Young and what he can do. It’ll be the most interesting story in the Riders’ search for a new quarterback. Was it a waste of time? Will it be a home run?
Nobody really knows for sure. So let’s sit back and watch the show. It should be a good one.
