Police arrested a man in Regina Wednesday night, despite a Taser malfunction.
Officers went to a home on the 6500 block of First Avenue North in the northwest to arrest 30-year-old Dallas Hunchak Wednesday night on several outstanding warrants.
Police said when officers got inside the home there, Hunchak was brandishing a bat and refusing to drop it. When police went to use a Taser on the man, it did not make contact.
Police said Hunchak eventually complied with the officers’ commands and was safely taken into custody without injury.
He was charged with assault with a weapon and breach of recognizance.
