A man has been arrested after an incident on a Greyhound bus travelling on Highway 1 east of Regina.
Indian Head and Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded to a complaint of a man causing a disturbance on board an inter-city Greyhound bus around noon Tuesday.
The bus pulled over between Sintaluta and Wolseley.
RCMP said the man had already left the bus when members arrived. He was arrested nearby a short time later.
No injuries were reported to police.
As of Tuesday afternoon, traffic was restricted in the eastbound lane of the highway to accommodate the investigation.
Greyhound provided a written statement about the incident:
“In regard to the incident that occurred, we have a zero tolerance policy with regard to unruly or aggressive customers. Any such behaviour is considered a serious offense and the customer will be removed from the bus.
Should a passenger become unruly en route, the driver will immediately pull the bus over at a safe location and call the local authorities to have the passenger removed.
We cooperated with the RCMP who then handled the issue.”
