Police say neighbours behind home invasion in Saskatoon apartment building

Police say a man and a group of youths attacked two people in a Pleasant Hill apartment complex late Monday night.
 
Patrol officers arrived at the building on the 100 block of Avenue O South shortly after 11 p.m.
 
They were responding to reports several people had burst into an apartment and assaulted two people inside using machetes and steel batons.
 
Officers interviewed the alleged victims and were told the attackers had come from another apartment in the building.
 
Police went to that suite and arrested several people inside.
 
Three boys and one man are facing charges of break-and-enter and aggravated assault.
 
The two alleged victims were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police stated in a news release that they don’t believe the attack was random and that more charges may be coming as their investigation wraps up.
