A man is facing numerous firearms-related charges after guns, believed to have been stolen from a pawn shop, were seized from an apartment.
The investigation into the robbery of the business led police to obtain a search warrant for a home on the 300 block of Cornwall Street. The warrant was executed early evening Monday.
There was no one at the residence at the time but police seized ammunition and four guns. Three were verified to have come from the business that had been robbed.
While this was happening, a second group of officers searching for the suspect located the 32-year-old man on the 2900 block of Dewdney Avenue.
The man was arrested without incident.
Michael Francis Mayer is facing 15 charges including possession of a firearm and careless use of a firearm.
Mayer made his first court appearance Tuesday morning.
