Man, you gotta love the FBI.
On the same day the FBI finds Tom Brady’s last two Super Bowl jerseys, it also announces it is investigating Russian links to the election of U.S President Donald Trump. It’s easy to get the two incidents confused because the media is playing a role in both.
But the media acted despicably in only one of those events.
Reportedly an accredited media member from Mexico stole Brady’s jersey. The thief is apparently seen on video trying to conceal something while leaving the New England Patriots locker room following Super Bowl 50 in Houston. That jersey was found with one stolen from Brady following an earlier Super Bowl.
Anyone receiving media credentials is made aware of the rules that go with press passes. No autographs. No personal gains. It’s a rarity for those rules to be broken. But in the case of the missing sports memorabilia, there really is a “crooked media.”
