Rows of bright red, blue, and pink flowers fill the halls of Praireland Park this weekend for 2017 Gardenscape.
The 28th annual event, featuring more 100 exhibitors, runs 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
With Canada’s 150th anniversary this year red and white seems to be a popular garden choice according to Dutch Growers Rick Van Duyvendyk.
“We sold out of our Canada 150 flowers in less than three hours on Friday afternoon,” he said. “Anything that’s red and white people are just lapping those things up like crazy right.”
Mother Earth Greenhouses owner Patti Cunningham has a special popcorn plant this year.
“When you rub the leaves and then smell them, it smells like buttered popcorn,” she said.

The show also features the President’s Choice Super Dogs, which was packed for its first show Friday.
