Seniors taking a light stroll, to a person walking five dogs, you could see a lot of foot traffic at Wascana Lake over the weekend.
People in Regina were taking full advantage of the warm spring weather.
One woman told us what the first sign of spring is to her.
“Well it’s a beautiful thing to be outside and this morning I heard woodpeckers for the first time so that’s a sign of spring.”
Others said that the amount of geese flocking back to Canada from the south or even just seeing them waddling about in the park was their sign spring is here.
Brian Dickin was one of the many that agreed geese along with the warm air is his first sign that spring has arrived. He added days with warmer temperatures mean one thing to him.
“Bringin’ the bike out, that (means) spring time,” he said.
Nothing was going to stop the avid biker from cruising the streets on his motorcycle.
“For today I’m going to keep it local,” he said. “I’m on call for work so I have to stay close, but I have my work phone with me plugged into the headphones so I can pull over and don’t miss a call, but I just had to go out.”
More than 100 people could be seen taking in the fresh air around Wascana Lake.
